Since its creation in 1984, with the Cooperation and Technical Assistance of Suzuki Metal Industry Japan, maklada has reinforced his presence in local and export markets, today we have a leading position in North of Africa and we are present in Africa, Europe, Middle East, USA and South America.

Our philosophy is to develop products according to our customers expectations and facilities, on continuous Technical benchmarking that is the solid base for our longterm consistent relationship, of what we are particularly proud.

Backed by more 29 years of experience and his know-how, maklada is specialized in the manufacturing of high and low carbon steel wires and cables according to international standards and / or client’s specifications.

Today Maklada have three production units equipped with modern machinery and we are still heavily investing in new equipments and technologies in collaboration with leading companies and consultants. Our aims is to maintain high quality standards at all levels :

• Unit 1, situated at El Jem produces high and low carbon steel wires and cables, equipped with galvanizing line .
• Unit 2, situated at Sousse produces steel wires and steel strands (seven wires) for prestressed concrete .
• Unit 3, situated at Sousse produces spring steel wires for bedding and seating .

Each unit also has its own analytical laboratory equipped to perform all mechanical and chemical tests.

Maklada purchases wire rods from leading steel makers according to appropriate specifications in order to produce wire inconformity with severe standards.

Maklada has a performing quality system allowing it to control all its manufacturing process. The company is ISO 9001 : 2008 certified by TÜV. Certifications

The main production units are the following :

• A production line of steel strand for prestressed concrete (PC Strand),
• Patenting lines for wire rod and semi-finished wires,
• Chemical pickling and surface treatment lines,
• Wet and dry drawing lines for the production of PC wire, B&S wires, cables wires, and LC and MC wires,
• Stress-relieving lines for PC wires and PC strands allowing the obtainment of classes of relaxation : normal, low and very low relaxations,
• Hot dip galvanizing lines (commercial and heavy zinc coatring),
• Bell type annealing furnace under neutral atmosphere,
• Die repairing shop,
• Stranding machines for steel cables and ropes,
• Quick link machines for bales ties,
• Conditioning and wrapping shop,
• Laboratory for mechanical and chemical testing (including relaxation tests).
